X-Pipe
It’s no secret that a good exhaust system can really help your car’s performance, but many people don’t understand exactly why this is so. The simple answer is that your engine can’t burn gas efficiently unless it’s able to get rid of the by-products (otherwise known as the exhaust) as quickly as possible. Modern exhaust systems are remarkably complex, fine-tuned units that are designed to move exhaust gases as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Advantages of an X-Pipe
As good as some factory exhaust systems are, there’s always room for improvement. Car manufacturers have all sorts of reasons to keep exhaust designs simple. Saving money and leaving room for future improvements are just two of them. Another problem is that stock configurations often call for certain levels of ground clearance or engine space that can cut into the ideal shape of your exhaust system.
Aftermarket exhausts are designed to fill in all the blanks, and to smooth out all the wrinkles in your factory exhaust. They help increase your exhaust flow to its maximum level so that you can get as much power out of your engine as possible. One of the most interesting exhaust tricks is the X-Pipe, which basically refers to a design that looks like a letter X.
X-pipes are basically a set of two pipes that have one crossing point somewhere in the middle. The purpose of this design is to reduce negative pressure in either of the pipes. We carry X-pipes for most car and truck models, so no matter what you’re driving, we can help you increase the flow of your exhaust.
